Information on the recruitment for the qualification courses and specialist trainings within Component III of “A Helping Hand in a Safe Environment” project co-financed by the funds of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme. Continue reading

The Executing Agency in accordance with the art. 6, par. 8 of the Recruitment regulations has made the following pre-qualification to the qualification courses and specialist trainings:

• qualification course in the field of long-term care nursing – a list of pre-qualified participants;
• qualification course in the field of psychiatric nursing – a list of pre-qualified participants;
• specialist trainings in the field of preventing nursing – a list of pre-qualified participants;
• specialist trainings in the field of psychiatric nursing - a list of pre-qualified participants.

Pre-qualified participants are requested to contact (by phone or by email) with the office of the project.

The recruitment was conducted in accordance with a Decree no K-021-81/12 issued on November 19th, 2012 by the Director of the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Krakow regarding the approval of the Recruitment regulations on the qualification courses and specialist trainings within the Component III of “A Helping Hand in a Safe Environment” project, that is co-financed by the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme and regarding the announcement of candidates to participate in the qualification courses and specialist trainings within the Component III of “A Helping Hand in a Safe Environment” project implemented under the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme.

Since November 22nd until December 12th, 2012 the Executing Agency – the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Krakow has conducted a recruitment for:

1) qualification courses in the field of:
family nursing;
psychiatric nursing;
preventive nursing;
long-term care nursing;

2) specialist trainings in the field of:
family nursing;
psychiatric nursing;
preventive nursing;
long-term care nursing;
geriatric nursing;
paediatric nursing.
Until February 19th, 2013 172 applications were submitted, including 18 applications that were received after the given deadline. Applications have been registered in accordance with art. 6, par. 4 of the Recruitment regulations.

In accordance with art. 6 par. 6 the Executing Agency employees have evaluated the applications. The result of the formal appraisal was as follows: 158 submissions received positive formal appraisal (of which 6 individuals resigned from participation in the course or training), 14 applications did not meet the formal requirements.

According to a Decree of Health Minister issued on October 29th, 2003 regarding a list of fields of nursing and areas of health protection, where specialization and qualification courses may be conducted; and regarding a framework of specialization programmes for nurses and midwives. “A Helping Hand in a Safe Environment” project proposed different forms of qualifications’ development for midwives that applied for it, but the only training available was the family nursing. The nurses and midwives that applied for different types of courses have been informed by e-mail or by phone about the case.

The applications that have passed the formal appraisal with a positive assessment, in accordance with art. 6, par. 7 of the Recruitment regulations, were included in the ranking list. The applications submitted after the deadline accordingly with art. 6, par. 4 of the Recruitment regulations were included in the reserve ranking list.

At the request of the Executing Agency for permission to increase the number of training places, the Ministry of Health agreed to the following number of places in the qualification courses and specialist trainings:
• qualification course in the field of psychiatric nursing – 70 places (2 groups);
• qualification course in the field of long-term care nursing – 35 places;
• specialist training in the field of psychiatric nursing – 25 places;
• specialist training in the field of preventive nursing – 30 places.

According to the Act of July 15th, 2011 on nurse and midwife profession, the final decision on admission to the qualification course / specialist training will be taken after the recruitment procedure in accordance with the terms and mode of qualification procedure specified in the Health Minister Decree of October 29th, 2003 on postgraduate education for nurses and midwives.

The pre-qualification on qualification courses in the field of family nursing and specialist trainings in the field of long-term care and geriatric nursing have not been carried out, because the number of applications was to small and it was impossible to run independent training groups within the project (according to art. 4 par.3 of the Recruitment regulations). For the other forms of education planned within the Component III (qualification course on preventive nursing and specialist training on family and paediatric nursing) no application was received or the applications submitted were invalid.

Until February 19th, 2013, 144 individuals have been pre-qualified to participate in the project:
- qualification course in the field of psychiatric nursing – 62 individuals;
- qualification course in the field of long-term care nursing – 32 individuals;
- specialist training in the field of psychiatric nursing – 21 individuals;
- specialist training in the field of preventive nursing – 29 individuals.

The Executing Agency has vacancies for the above mentioned specialist trainings and qualification courses – people that are interested in participation and that fulfil formal requirements may still submit their applications.

The planned commencement of trainings and courses:
• specialist training in the field of psychiatric nursing – April 2013,
• specialist training in the field of preventive nursing – April 2013,
• qualification course in the field of long-term care nursing – April 2013,
• qualification course in the field of psychiatric nursing: 1st group – April 2013, 2nd group – September / October 2013.

Note: in case that any applicant of group 1 resigns from the participation in the course, individuals from group 2 will fulfil the remaining seats in group 1.
