Project KIK/56 ‘Improvement of the SWHs’ and / or CEIs’ infrastructure and skills development of its personnel and nurses’ whose Executing Agency is the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Rzeszów – is implemented in Podkarpackie voivodeship within the Swiss – Polish Cooperation Programme. Project’s implementation is scheduled for the period form January 1st, 2012 -toJune 30th, 2015.
Project KIK/56 is directed to the Social Welfare Organisation Units (SWOU, polish abbreviation – JOPS) operating in Podkarpackie voivodeship. The project consists of the following components:
- Component I – aims at improvement of the SWHs’ and CEIs’ infrastructure through the implementation of innovative activities, including the investments and / or reconstructions / development / modernization, as well as tasks related to the purchase of necessary equipment and utensils and / or its renovation;
- Component II – training for the personnel working directly with the residents of the SWHs and / or the CEIs, coherently with the Component I;
- Component III – improvement of the qualifications of nursing and midwifery personnel working directly with the residents of the SWHs and the CEIs.
The total expected budget for the project equals 5 509 425 CHF. In the case of implementation of all three components, up to 85% of eligible costs of the project will be covered with the contribution of the Swiss part, and at least 15% – with the contribution of the Beneficiary. It is possible to increase the beneficiary’s contribution, but the amount of the financing shall not be less than 1 010 000 PLN, and the maximum amount cannot exceed 3 030 000 PLN.
In the period between May 14th, 2012 and August 20th, 2012 the Executing Agency of the Project KIK/56 held a call for proposals for the competition for investment and training projects in the Podkarpackie voivodeship’s SWHs and CEIs. The conclusion of the projects’ evaluation and selection of the winners was scheduled for December 2012, and the implementation of co-financed projects will take place since January 2013 until December 31st, 2014.
The support within the SPCP is primarily aimed to help attain a higher level of the service provided. During the competition there will be selected institutions wishing to improve their infrastructure and to train their personnel, in order to improve the residents’ living standards. The organization of training courses for nurses and midwives providing services to residents of SWHs is guided by the same objective.
